Chapter 1

Darkness fell over the skies that was once a chilled blue day, filling the air with a gloomy sense of mystery. This is the time Vampires roam the darkened grounds of the land humans walk upon in their search for the lost and unwitting travellers that become hunted for the fresh blood that fluently runs through their very own veins. It is here, on the edge of the Underworld, where our story begins.

It started on the Fifth of November, Nineteen Eighty Nine, when a small boy at the age of Thirteen, who wore deep grey trousers patched in certain places on the leggings and a dirty pale blue sweater due to not being very rich from his ancestors greed was walking to school for his very first day. This small boy was named Craig. He spent the morning filling out a form to introduce himself for the class he was placed in. After Twenty Five minutes of nerves soaring through his little body listening to his classmates comments, he was called up to the front of the room. He rose nervously out of his chair and walked cautiously to the front of the room, ambushed by whispered sniggering at his appearance. After he introduced himself to the class, it was time for a break.

He examined the courtyard and his eyes met with another child's. This child was a female, in the last year of the school, she looked ill, yet well kept. Her eyes had a cold feeling about her. And her skin was murky, kind of like the moon light glow, but this child however had a secret to hide. This child was not what it seemed. In fact this child was not a child, but a Vampire. At the end of the day Craig stepped out of the school grounds and smelt the air hopefully, grasping the thought of freedom for the rest of the day. Craig however, was wrong. He started to make his usual journey home, but saw a narrow alley way where a shortcut was hiding in the street. Craig made his way down this alley, and after a brisk walk, he was ambushed, by the cold eyed female child he saw in the courtyard that very day. Craig was hurled to the cold, wet and hard pavement below his very feet. Slightly dizzy he felt a cold sensation on his neck, and felt a searing pain as two crystal white fangs plunged their way into Craig's neck and penetrated his blood. He let out a silent scream of horror as he was plunged into total darkness.

He awoke hours later, to find Twenty cold red eyes attempting to penetrate his mind from around him. He was thirsty, but not for water. He now had a terrible thirst for blood. Two of the surrounding dark figures took each of his arms, and placed him into a chamber. This chamber had only one door, and above the door read "The Inner Circle". A small dark feeble voice called his name, 'Craig' the voice whispered gently, 'Come join us in the Inner Circle, and fulfil your true destiny'. All of a sudden, a pale scream echoed the chamber behind the only door in the room. A scream of a child. Craig's eyes closed for a moment as his head bowed down, he slowly raised his head and opened his eyes to show two misty red eyes. His mouth glared open and bared two pearl fangs, the door swung open softly, and Craig smelt the air, smelt the fresh blood that lingered around him, he stepped closer to the open door, each foot step quickening until he reached the door. He sprang into the room lightly and was granted his thirst for blood.

Twenty five years past from the very day Craig became a blood thirsty Vampire. Twenty five years and nothing has changed in Craig's life. But for the first time in his life, he was reminded of his ancestors greed, how he was forced to wear his fathers old clothes, how he was tormented and silently bullied by those around him and he felt an urge, an urge only his mind could control, an urge with such anger for fresh blood that was so irresistible to his lips, he had to find it. And he did, in the veins of his very own mother.

Chapter 2

Many years had passed in Craig's life as a ravenous Vampire. His thirst for blood continued to grow stronger and penetrate his mind, twist through his body, giving him a taste of great weakness. He had to find a new victim, unwilling to share their blood that ran through their veins. The new land that Craig now roamed was deep inside the Underworld territory. Where a constant shelter from the blazing sun laid. It was a land where not only other Vampires fought in battle, not only by themselves in the dead of night where darkness surrounded the grounds but also in small packs to seek blood. This land was also inhabited by the most powerful mythical creatures also on the hunt for food for their own survival, that sent terror and fear down the spines of Vampires that shared this land.

Dark times laid ahead for Craig, he was weak, his senses were robbed from the hungry thirst for blood he had to contend with. He had to find some, for his own safety. Craig started to search nearby shacks and huts, but found nothing. He strolled further into a dark narrow street, and briskly, yet silently walked down it. He came across a dead body, but it was a small deer. Its body seemed packed and untouched, full of the delicious blood Craig craved for. He dropped to knee's, and clutched the body of the deer and sank his razor sharp fangs into the bottom right of the deer's neck. He drank for a moment, his senses were slowly coming back. Then he felt it. Someone was silently watching from the shadows, this being could not be located from Craig's senses, though he knew it was there, lurking in the darkness. He slowly made his way to his feet, and turned to face the unknown in the shadows. It happened silently, yet quickly. A soaring sound came first, then a second sound of a bone crunching crack of a human bone, then a ear splitting yell of pain. The being, looked down where Craig now laid on the ground, clutching a mangled leg, a leg, that was hit with a blunt object. The being that attacked, circled Craig, and in the moon light glow, he saw it clear as a crystal. The figure was holding what looked like a black club, with ten or so thick, long nails stuck at the top. His life flashed before him, then came more heavy footsteps, but they didn't sound at all human. He turned his head to look where the noise was coming from, but suddenly they stopped, silence now roamed the cool air around them. The being advanced upon Craig, hoping to make his death quick and painless, he lifted the club high, and noticed something in the corner, a pack of hungry wolves appeared at the closest shack. They surrounded Craig and the other being. One of the wolves, a massive shaggy black one, with battle scars around its head moved closer, and without warning it struck. It jumped into the air mouth open wide, showing baring its teeth, and clamped it around the shoulder of the being that attacked Craig. The wolf brought its prey crashing down to the ground, and begin to rag its helpless body while Craig moved silently into the shadows. The other wolves, raised their heads and howled into the night air and soon quickly disappeared into the night, taking the body of its prey with them.

A week later Craig was back to his full power, ready to continue his search for blood. What he found however was not blood, it was a gang of other Vampires, who seemed to have survived longer than him. He announced his presence and was surrounded yet again. One of the Vampires walked forwards, and spoke softly to other Vampires around him. "Ahhhh, look, we seemed to have found yet another fool who thinks he can survive alone" The other Vampires sniggered and bared their teeth at Craig. The Vampire spoke again, even softer than the first, "You will not survive here alone young one, you will die in the attempt of your quest to find blood here, unless you.. Well.. Join us on the Dark Side". Craig paused for moment and bowed his head, the Vampire stepped forward and quickly pulled out a little dagger from the hem of his black cloak. He then sank the tip of the blade through Craig's back hand brandishing a little symbol to admit him to the gang. Craig felt a new kind of power surge through his body, but it was a power, that had a terrible cost, soon enough, Craig would have to choose from his life, or his Death to satisfy his fate.

Chapter 3

It had been two weeks since Craig joined the gang that was his own kind, where he himself finally fit in. He had been chosen only once by the leader of the gang to go on a quest and fulfil an order. An order that he had failed to conquer, and would be paying the price for his mistake sometime soon. It was an ordinary Wednesday, where Craig had the opportunity to seek blood for only himself. He set out and found a small bit of land and with surprise found a bunch of adult deer's to hunt. He watched them for a moment but as he made his move to ambush the closest one, it sprinted away, and Craig sensed the feeling he once had before, someone was behind him. He quickly raised his body to stand on his feet and turned to face the source of the noise he had heard. He saw a familiar figure walking to him, it was the gang in wich he was admitted to, who he now served. He was now safe, or was he? The gang gathered around, blocking all escape routes that Craig may have in his mind. The leader of the gang that's skin looked ice cold, below his deep black cloak finely stitched with deep red metal spikes along the shoulder blades of the black cloak stepped forward. His voice was cold yet it had a dark presence that penetrated the ears of the being he spoke to. He paused choosing his words carefully and finally spoke directly to Craig, "Your time here in the Underworld has come to a great end, I am afraid to admit, that you have served well, yet you chose to follow us, to let us believe your showing us great honour, but secretly using us all to survive. We all knew that this was not your fate, your fate was to perish as a weak Vampire here, yet you let us believe that you was worthy to keep, how very foolish it was too. We noticed the very first day you joined us, that you was not cut out for war, to satisfy thirst for blood, you had an injury" his cold breath paused as his eyes met Craig's leg that was once struck by a blunt object with nails stuck inside at the top of it. He continued to speak in the same ice cold breath as his eyes fixed back to Craig's "It was an injury that could have caused your downfall, but you mastered the pain it caused to you, you let us believe you could hunt for fresh blood. The blood that we could have used for our own strength. You have a debt to pay us, in wich we want your blood for" He strode out of the line circling Craig and spoke up the Vampires listening intently to the conversation. "Who will do the great honour, to show us, their true power, to destroy and kill this worthless thing that gives the word Vampire a bad name to us all". There was silence as the Vampire known as Suicidal_Penguin advanced forwards, clutching the Legendary Demonic Scythe of the Bloodsucker by his side. He raised it high in the cool night air demonstrating his strength as the blade shone in the glow of the moonlight. He looked down upon Craig, his eyes showed no mercy as he swung the blade down with all his power, it made no noise of contact, it was a clean murder. Craig's fate had now been settled. The vampire named Suicidal_Penguin, strode back to the line of other Vampires, and wiped the blood off the blade that tore its way through the body that was once Craig's. The leader of the gang stepped forward to the mangled body that laid lifeless on the ground, and drained the blood from the body in veils to keep it from spilling. The darkness suddenly grew stronger around them, it was the time of night the creatures, that are dangerous to Vampires, started to appear out of the darkness of their territory and with a rapid noise of cloaks being whipped, all the ravenous Vampires that once stood there disappeared into the night..
